Hmm, do you mean B2, which is two octaves and a note below middle C? Or are you using a different system, like Yamaha uses, where C4 is not middle C?


I have always assumed (and marked it on a piece of tape on my MIDI keyboard, so I don't forget) that C4 is middle C, and the B a semitone lower is B3.

And this is why I still use the good old Helmholtz notation! A standard needs to be standard, or it does no good!!
