Anyway, I will be doing it manually, by first copying the relevant sections from vln II, then move them to layer 2, then copy the rest, then sort out the stems where necessary.
This could probably be done much faster with Finalescript, providing you don't have to start learning how to use it from scratch. Have a look at the scripts that are already there, and you'll see precisely this kind of operation. I do a lot of automated things with Finalescript, but it does take some time to get the hang of it.
