This seems to be very true.and I would note that in another forum, I posted a link to the newish comparison on the Coda website, comparing features of Finale and a "competitor" {Sibelius is not mentioned by name), then decided that, being produced by MakeMusic, this chart was biased. So I surfed over to the Sibelius site, to find their chart. Found lots of testimonials proclaiming the superiority of Sibelius, but no chart proving it.
Once a Siberius rep challenged me so I asked can you do this and that. Finale won :-)
It generally seems, if you look at anecdotal evidence, that people prefer what they're used to. Hence, such monstrosities as Microsoft Word are preferred by many, because they are accustomed to it. The same is probably true in any range of applications, be they word processing, note processing, image processing, whatever.
