This is actually all configurable, and you could, theoretically, configure the major enharmonic table to do whatever you want in a minor context. However, I have never seen any disadvantage to using the minor key sigs, and until I will I will keep using them. It does give me two separate enharmonic tables.

I believe that in MIDI Speedy Entry (using spelling tables)  the enharmonics
turn out better, e.g. you get f# with a G minor signature, but g flat in a B
flat major signature.
