This seems worse, beam-wise, than anything Finale would do, even without plug-ins and with the default settings. Especially the violin parts on the first bar of the first page!

Yeah, that's unnecessarily ugly. But even worse, and for no obvious reason, is the failure of stems for 16th notes and faster to extend to the bottom beam. Very amateurish, but apparently done on purpose, and I would guess this is built into the software.
