Thanks for all the background. I have used my copy of the Liber (1963,
English introduction) since I bought it new ca. 1965, mostly for source
material for compositions. As I, um, stepped out of the religious world
about the same time, I didn't follow what happened in the Catholic Church
after that.

Again, thanks. It was really interesting to hear how a church policy change
affected the publication of what I had thought of as a 'standard' reference.
