Yep, I just tried it and that's it. For some godforsaken reason, FinaleScript (for Mac, at least) chokes when it has to create filenames longer than 32 characters -- so, even if the original filenames contain fewer than 32 characters, if appending the "_2k5" creates a filename longer than 32 characters, FinaleScript hangs and asks you to name the file manually.

Who at Coda should I report this bug to? I've given up sending bug reports just to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" -- that's become a black hole. Is there someone who specializes in FinaleScript issues? Or should I just send this to Allen?

Hmm...

I just noticed something... when opening some files with long filenames, the filename was truncated in the FinaleScript window, using the same method OS 9 uses to truncate long filenames. So, for example:

Az Der Rebe Elimelekh - A Sx.mus

Becomes:

Az Der Rebe Elimelek#16316C.mus

So, is FinaleScript (for Mac) bound by the old OS9 32-character filename limit?

If so, that's unbelievably awful and stupid.
