I would strenuously counter that recommendation with a huge warning -- Sony is a consumer electronics company and doesn't know how to make something as complicated as a PC and doesn't know how to support it. If hardware fails, you have one choice: ship it off to Fremont, CA, and wait two weeks to get it back. The laptops are also very poorly made, with lots of plastic parts that break off or fit poorly. I also don't like the keyboards. My only experience, though, is with the laptops -- I've only seen one of the desktop models. But my experiences with Sony support and ordering have taught me to keep my clients away from their PCs at all costs. -- David W.
