Napoleon's court composers were Paisiello (through 1803) and Le Sueur (also written as Lesueur, from 1804). IMO Le Sueur is unjustly overlooked as being only Berlioz's teacher. Among the other composers of the era Nicholas-Marie Dalayrac is a personal favorite.
