Karen, Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. Silly me, on previous tries I hadn't even restarted, but that didn't turn out to be the issue. (Also, I was using ~/Library/Fonts instead of the global Fonts folder, but changing that didn't fix it either.) Even without a restart, programs like Font Book, TextEdit, and Font Explorer (free font map software) can see the fonts whether they're Windows TT, Mac TT, or .dfont files. However, Finale (and Word) can't see them, even after a restart.
