i have a main file with beam settings set to "flatten beams based on standard note" and another with "base slope on end notes only". the first is an orchestral score, the second a detailled string (12-12-10-8-6, all individual instruments) passage which has been worked out in another file that i have to incorporate into the first before extraction. much work has been done placing the beams in the strings to avoid collisions with microtonal inflection symbols, applied as articulations. when i set the string passage to "based on standard note" the heart skips a 31 in the time of 47th beat... and jaw strikes kneecap. is all lost, and has to be redone with the new settings, as i fear?
