I suppose my swivel-screen iMac now counts as old, but it did in fact come w. OSX preloaded. I've since upgraded it to Panther, but that's all. It seems that the Firefox preferences tweak that someone else mentioned would be the cure for my problem, but since I've trashed Firefox, it's all hypothetical at this point.
