That business with secondary beams not extending properly over rests is
a bad flaw. I would have thought they'd fixed it by now, but
apparently not. Does it still have that other quirky problem where the
secondary beam stretches way too long? I forget how that comes up, but
I remember having a heck of a time with that once. Keeping secondary
beams solid over a rest, visible or invisible, ought to be a simple
option. It shouldn't be such a big deal.

Thanks for saying exactly what I was thinking. Clearly extending beams
over rests is something in need of repair. I'd gladly live with the
.eps font warning if they'd improve this! Or else create a way for the
Beam Extension tool to extend secondary beams...
