Hi Jef,

If you have a DVI-capable monitor, using a DVI cable (instead of a VGA cable with a DVI adapter) will not only fix your problem, it will *vastly* improve image quality. In other words, if you have a DVI monitor, fercrissakes use a DVI cable.

There is almost certainly a way to fix your problem using your existing setup -- for starters, you might try hot-unplugging the monitor (after the mini has booted), resetting the monitor using the on-screen controls, then re-plugging the monitor -- but why mess with all that if you don't have to? If you have DVI connection on your display, use it.

is it possible that using an analog cable (the monitor has a switch for analog-digital) via the adapter that came with the mini might cause the problem? i have used it with my other monitor (sony CPD-G400) without a hitch... would a DVI-DVI cable possibly solve the problem?
