I agree with Aaron on his suggestions.  I love my pen drive.

For added security, I used Disk Utility to put a blank encrypted disk image on the pen drive. When I add data to it, I make sure to put it into the encrypted image that will mount on the desktop. That way, if I were to lose the pen drive, there is at least password protection.

If both machines are connected to the Internet, then either email the files to yourself, or put them on an FTP site and retrieve them.

But a pen drive (by which I assume you mean a flash ROM drive) is by far the easiest solution. CompUSA and Best Buy routinely have 256MB drives for $30 or so, and then you'll have it sitting around and will be amazed at how useful it can be.
