The "clear" key on a normal Mac keyboard will clear everything from a Mass Edit selection. I don't have a PowerBook, but if the keyboard works like the one on an iBook, you should get the equivalent of the "clear" key by holding down the "fn" key and pressing 6.

Actually, that isn't the same as Clear Items...Everything. Your method is the same as Clear Entries and Smart Shapes, and leaves measure attributes, measure-attached expressions, repeats, and time signatures intact.

Yes, the clear key does this with highlighted areas, and that's what's usually needed (in my experience). If I needed the Measure Items cleared as well, I'd probably delete and replace the measures altogether. That operation only takes a couple of seconds, so I am in agreement with Chris that using the "clear" key the way it is set up is quite practical in most cases.

I don't know of a Mac equivalent for Clear Items... Everything, but on the other hand, how often does one have to do that? I can live with the menu method for that rare occasion.
