I've been studying the "new features" of Finale 2006 from the web site and it seems to me that much of what is being promoted is not so much "new" as just a better GUI.

Being able to mix in real time is a new addition, but recording individual tracks and addressing various MIDI parameters have always been there. They were just awkward to use.

Same thing with the "Engraver Copy and Paste." It will be faster to have all the options on one page rather than many. Robert Patterson's Mass Copy still looks superior, however.

I hope MM continues to combine dialog boxes and does something about the atrocious expression and articulation tools. A more efficient user interface can save loads of time and help new users understand the program better.
