I don't think that's a very good idea. It seems to me that creating an unlinked part would be as easy as just extracting to a new file. My problem with Darcy's suggestion is the question of what it should apply to -- everything? Or should you be given the option of unlinking particular types of data? Doing the former would really be no different than extracting a part, and just not worth implementing, in my opinion. Doing the latter would, in my opinion, be quite difficult to implement, as well as bringing with it user interface challenges (especially an onscreen indication of what's linked and what's not). So, basically, I'm voting against any such feature, since I think extracting to an independent part file gives you what you'd be getting by unlinking. -- David W.
