You know, every day I get pornographic spam, racist spam, peadophile spam, spam to increase the size of my bodily parts, to find a russian wife ... etc etc.
You would have me stop collecting email because it's inevitable? I do what I
can with filters, creative use of catchall email and blocking emails at the
server.
I don't like this "it can't be _totally_ secure so give up or shut up"
mentality - I can't totally secure my house, doesn't mean I should go on holiday and
leave the doors open does it?!
Don't blame one list, or one commericial enterprise which has acquired
data from the list, for all your evils. I have a domain which has never
been used anywhere, yet gets all the spam you describe. I have another,
which is well publicised, and gets almost no spam. The latter is a
(legit) .org.uk address. The moral? I don't know. But don't blame all
your spam on one source.
