I get almost no spam to srtifically generated addresses - that hasn't proved to 
be a problem at all.

I operate the other way around, I just use the domain name and then blocklist 
it if it does become a problem - which is hardly ever.

My spam woes are because of email addresses appearing in google from the PHP 
and Suse mailman mail lists - hence my concern.
