I have spent much of that time deep within the bowels of Finale. So you don't always see much of my work on the surface, but Finale is faster and more stable as a result of it. Much of this will provide a foundation for future growth. Things coming down the pike like Mac/Intel and Longhorn are going to require considerable work for software vendors even if it doesn't result in immediately obvious "features". I hope the user community is prepared for that.

Randy,

I think it is not so much the user community you have to worry about. Naturally I would much prefer Finale to be moved to Intel Macs to Finale not being moved to Intel Macs, however much it takes. But the competition is there, and it seems to manage better than you. Sibelius came out with a huge update, which at the same time was the first OS X version and delivered, what, two years earlier?

If this happens again with the Intel move, you simply have no choice but to include the features _on top_ of Intel compatibility, or you will loose the battle.
