Thank you so much, Michael!
Is there a better, more thorough way for Finale to inform us of significant
improvements and changes in an upgrade that don't fall into the realm of
marketing to new users?
This feature seems to be something no one on this list knew about, but at
least a few were clamoring for. I looked up what the 2005 "read me" file
said about this new option and found it enlightening:
Options Menu Accidental spacing on grace notes when both the grace
note and its parent note have accidentals is no longer incorrect when
"Use Cross-Layer Accidental Positioning" is checked.
Grace notes? That's great but this feature, in fact, fixes at least two
other significant problems that weren't mentioned here. I would much rather
read a long, but thorough "read me" of new features and fixes, than somehow
be expected to scour the entire manual for these changes at the cost of much
downtime and, barring a huge print job, eyestrain.
Could a complete accounting of new features in an upgrade be very (too)
difficult?
