I've been skimming the GPO-in-Finale discussions, trying to glean what I could from them. It seems that GPO includes alternate patches for different articulations/playing styles for various instruments. I'm assuming that these switches are done with special controller switches (as is the case with some of the alternate sounds in my Turtle Beach). My questions are: 1. does Finale 2006 with HP do these changes automatically, or do you have to insert the expressions to make the switches to and back? 2. if Finale 2006 HP makes them automatically, do you have control over it, so that, if, for instance, I don't like the HP choice for non-slurred notes in the string parts, I can make some other choice? 3. is there a list of these variations within each of the patches somewhere? -- David W.
