Actually, release engineer can only do so much especially s/he won't have a clean env to test. This is a question of MM's QA department and their QA manager. Install/uninstall testing should be listed at the top of the Burn Test Scenario. Finale Installer writes onto AppSupport directory. If the directory is not on their QA's check list, they have a serious QA integrity issue. This kind of quality control is in fact scary. P.S.
