Yes, this was a colossal screw up. But at least the error was
acknowledged and a fix is in the works. That’s not much consolation for
those who lost their App Support files...
No, it's not much help for them, but it does give me more confidence,
that they were able to repair the problem and are taking the extra step
of actually mailing out the fixes -- many other companies would have
simply expected the user to go to the web-site and download the fix.
Chalk one up for MakeMusic -- now hopefully they'll go after whomever
they purchased the installer from and ensure it won't happen again, such
as when Finale2006a or Finale2006b patches are released.
