You probably know that Centaur was based on Jenson's original designs, plus an unrelated italic -- which has now been incorporated into digital Jenson.

Oh, yes. What I meant to say (but was typing in haste) was that the large-size metal Centaur used in the Oxford Bible, partly because of the irregularities, is one of the most beautiful type examples I know.
