Ahhh, how come you didn't tell me that in the first place!
:-)

Now I got pizz working without Fin2006 file contaminating with the ks
note on message, but I am not getting tremolo, and I am darn sure I am
spelling it right.

What am I missing here?

One more point concerning not using the expressions in the Finale Default File -- how is anybody who buys Finale2006 supposed to know this? I mean without the benefit of someone like Darcy who has already pulled out his hair over GPO long before the rest of us? :-)

What are MakeMusic and Garritan thinking? That we're all born with their thoughts in our minds?

Since FinaleGPO is the big selling point of this new version, why would they include expressions in the default file, already defined for playback, which a person is NOT supposed to use in order to have Finale/GPO playback properly?

Where does it say that in the Startup brochure?

All I can say is that if the powerusers on this list are baffled by it, I am positive the casual new user expecting great things will be totally overpowered by it, frustrated by how it doesn't work (or at least appears not to work) and simply give up in disgust.

Perhaps MakeMusic should hire some real documentation writers, people who are used to thinking in terms of someone who wasn't born with a silver IC in their mouth.

And then include the ability in the program to select from and load two vastly different default expression libraries, so that if a person either uses the setup wizard to start a new file, or enables the Finale/GPO from the Midi menu. Finale should sense that and switch libraries to one which will include only expressions which will work with Finale/GPO.

Or include a few more reminders on-screen.

Because it is anything but clear, as witness these exchanges.
