Well, that's one solution, but theoretically, you're supposed to be 
able to put in an expression at the beginning of the pieces defined 
as "play tempo tool changes" and the tempo tool changes should be 
saved.

Of course, it doesn't always work -- I have several files where tempo 
tool changes are not honored even in Finale playback.

Basically, I therefore don't use the tempo tool at all.

Does the new tempo track in Finale 2006 replace the functionality of 
the tempo tool with a better UI? And does it work more reliably for 
both playback and saving as MIDI?
