Here's a bug I just encountered: When files are converted from 2005
to 2006, files with "Note Shapes" selected in the staff attributes
lose this definition. Any notes which were entered in 2005 as "x"
note heads (for instance, in drum parts) will remain that way in the
2006 document, but the staff definition is lost so that new notes
entered in the same staff revert to conventional note heads. This is
definitely a bug. The solution is to redefine the staff attributes,
but that is a drag.
I have always noticed that something goes wrong in the up-converting
of files. I don't understand why this should be such a problem every
time there's a new version.
