I'm using WinFin 2003 and would like to check to see if a minor bug
that exists there still exists in current versions (still shows up in
the Finale 2005 demo). To reproduce:
1. in scroll view in a piece with more than 3 screens of music
(horizontally), go to the very end of the piece and in Speedy Entry,
open the Speedy frame for the last measure.
2. in the measure number navigation control in the lower left, type
the number of a measure 1 screen or more to the left.
Result: the display jumps to the requested measure (as expected) then
jumps back to the last measure.
Workaround: manually exit the Speedy frame before typing the target
measure number.
What's happening is that the process of exiting the Speedy frame is
conflicting with the navigation command, and happening *after* the
navigation has taken place, consequently moving you back to the place
where you started.
Is this still a bug in Finale 2006?
I just checked it and it is the same as you report. It seems to be that
way for every screen after the first screen. You don't need to be in
the final measure for this behavior to be exhibited, you just need to be
in the Speedy Entry Frame.
