This is called a kernal panic. Usually caused by some external device
that is connected to your computer but not always. The fix is to
restart the machine. If it keeps happening, you should start the
machine with all external devices disconnected and re-connect them one
by one to see which one is the culprit....scanners are notorious for
causing this.
The next thing I would suggest is to make sure that all of your device
drivers i.e. printer, scanner, non-apple mouse/keyboard are all up to
date...you may have transfered your old drivers over and they aren't
compatible with Tiger. You can download these from the vendors'
websites.
This could also be a chip/motherboard problem (not unheard-of on a new,
untested machine.)
In my case, it was caused by a bad memory chip. Easily fixed (whew!)
after the kernel panic caused a user panic! 8-)
