When moving from a G4 dual 1ghz to a G5 dual 2ghz I had to send my M- Audio Delta 1010lt PCI card back in and pay £30 to have it upgraded for use with the G5! They actually broke it and sent me out a brand new one!! Anyway, my G5 is PCI-X, something I didn't think about much when upgrading - I wouldn't recommend buying _any_ card that doesn't specifically mention G5 compatibility on the box.
