Usually, I put the measure numbers on the first staff (show on Top Staff, so that the numbers appear). Uncheck "Measure numbers" in the Staff Attribute Dialog Box.
Before extracting the parts, I copy ONLY the "Measure Number Items) from the first staff to each of the others. (You must copy from the first staff to the second, then you may copy from both these staves to the third and fourth, and so on).
I wish someone has a better idea, because I find this too long... but it works.

Couldn't you just set all staves to show measure numbers before you
extract parts (in your separate Part Extraction score, if you do it
that way)?
