A big thank you to all who responded to my questions. I agree that Finale should provide for slashed beamed grace notes.
While I have used both graphic _expression_ and Smart Shape Tool versions, as suggested, for most occasions _expression_ Tool right or left slash (TNR 36 - 48 points) seemed to work just fine.
