Or, you could have just saved the desired libraries from the active
document, using the "save library" option from the file menu.
That's more work, though.

At first I had the same experience. But then, I selected shape in
the articulations dialog, and when I selected "create" and went
through the process to create a new shape, the shapes library
appeared.
Indeed, the shapes are there, but all the placement options are lost
this way. Must be a bug.
