And you didn't give them the steps to reproduce the problem?  This kind
of unproductive attack only makes them defensive in my experiences. 
Have you tried put yourself in their shoes?

Let's step back and be logical.  When FinMac2006 installer destroyed
AppSupport data, that was 100% reproducible problem, and MM acted
immediately.  That was something you could ask MM to refund, whether
they will or not.
