Within the past two weeks, I bought a new Ricoh Aficio AP610 N, monochrome, true 1200 x 1200 dpi, 36 pages per minute, 13 seconds to from power on to first copy, first copy ouptut in 6 and a half seconds; capable of printing on 11 x 17 paper, postscript capable, 100000 copy per month duty cycle, USB enabled. Cost was 699.00 USD.
The product ships with a partially filled toner cartridge, nominally rated at 6000 copies of 5% coverage; full replacement cartridges cost about 230 USD, and will nominally print 20,000 copies. I'm guestimating that the cost of toner for the machine will be a bit more than one cent per page.
