As I recall the USB ports in your keyboard are both first generation
usb 1.1 ports.
USB 2 ports are lots and lots faster...
So I guess that plugging your laserjet into the keyboard will
slowdown the entire printing process
as soon as you have complex or bigger print tasks... (bottle neck)
The ports on the iMac are all three USB 2... way faster...
