Hi Dean,
If I understand your question - it should be possible to remove
sounds from the GPO set up, in case something gets loaded into the
choral slots. I don't know what Finale does, by default, with vocal
sounds, when you set up a score with the Wizard. (I assume you are
doing this.) In any case, it is possible to edit the sound output so
that you can get no sound from the choral staves, or some other
sound, in case you need to hear the pitches and rhythms.
Let us know what you want to accomplish, and some of us will probably
be able to help.
