We don't appear to be getting a consistent story from tech support.  I feel
like this has been a problem for me in the past.  Brian, from Mac support,
told me on 10/24:

I know things change from version to version, but I had none of these
problems in '05.  Also, Gary thought my use of a 10 year old template was a
problem.  If Darcy had the bug confirmed to him, it sounds like these two
are either unaware of it, or they are not telling me everything for one
reason or another.  I wouldn't presume to guess which scenario or an
explanation.
