Restarting Finale did not fix it, but a rebooting of the computer did.
BTW, have others noticed that using the built in TG Tools Align/Move
dynamics has a glitch that is not present in the full version? When
I use the built in one, text expressions placed above the staff are
moved along with the dynamics. The full version leaves these things
alone (as it should). Just my experience.

I've gotten that message from time to time in FinMac 2005b as well.
When I quit Finale and reopen it, all seems to be well.
