It seems FinMac does clear temp directory successfully on my 5 tries.
Yes, it is consistent so far with me, too.
However, Finale completely deletes the folder called "Finale Temp
Files" every time it quits, and creates a new one inside the folder I
designated the next time it opens, so that would take care of any
leftovers, assuming there are any.
It is when Finale DOESN'T quit for long periods, working on many
different large files, that I think its little brain might get addled.
I have noticed that most of the inconsistent bugs I have seen (like the
file overwrite bug) only occur when Finale has been up and running for
a long time; days or weeks.
It would appear then that quitting and restarting Finale should fix any
problem with temp files, IF there are any, that is!
But since I have taken the precaution of restarting Finale regularly
(and rebooting my computer, too, at least once a week) I haven't seen
the file overwrite bug once. Could I have "cured" it with this
"vaccination?"
But I HAVE seen weird problems with old files, so that particular
problem (old file corruption) does not seem to be related to temps.
