Hello, does anyone knows how to change the Line Thickness of the Dashed Line? Thanks, Luís
You can't edit the line thickness of the preset smart-shape dashed-line, but you can create your own custom dashed-line and you can set that thickness. I think MakeMusic should give us 6 or 8 such custom lines that we can turn into items on the palette, but since they don't we have to select each custom line we want to place when we want to change it from whatever custom line we previously placed, if different.
To create your own dashed-line, ctrl-click (cmd-click on Macs might do the same thing) on the line with the question mark (it's the bottom one in the Smartshape palette when I open it and have it on the right edge of my screen). This opens the dialog to select or create or edit a custom line. Click on the CREATE button, and in the dialog that pops up you can select the kind of line you want and set the thickness you want, and anything else you wish to specify. Once you have it the way you want it, you click OK and it will show up as one of the custom lines you can select from whenever you ctrl-click the Custom Line icon in the smartshapes palette.
This way you can create several dashed-lines, each with a different thickness if you wish.
You can save the SmartLines as a library (at least in Fin2006), so any such custom lines you create you should be able to save from one document and then open that library in other documents and not have to recreate your custom lines each time.
