I have this problem consistently if I put my Mac to sleep while Finale
is running. Quitting and starting Finale always fixes it. I use the
Stealth serial MIDI driver with a serial MOTU Timepiece II.
Putting the Mac to sleep with ProTools running is another matter. It is
highly disrecommended on the Digi site, and the consequences range from
none to reboot if I do it by accident.
FWIW: I long ago set my sleep mode to manual only.
