Oh! Thanks Allen. However, the reason I didn't find it that way was
because I was getting ready to enter new material w/the MIDI keyboard
and heard no sounds from it. My keyboard has no internal sounds and
depends on MIDI thru for me to hear what I'm playing. (Those w/
perfect pitch, or better relative pitch discipline than I have are
entitled to enter gloat mode.) I hadn't gotten to the point were I
was looking for playback from the document, just through it for the
note entry.

Hi all,
I notice a change in the way 2006b behaves, one that is helpful to
me, and I don't remember reading about it in the documentation. It
may be there, but I didn't notice, and I think it's worth mentioning.
When GPO or Garritan JABB is loaded through the Native Instruments
option, my documents open without the sounds loaded, allowing files
to be opened and closed quickly for edits, changes, and printing
without having to wait two minutes for instruments to load, if you
forgot to turn them off the last time you closed the document. If
"Play through Native Instruments" is selected in the MIDI menu, you
now must invoke "Native Instruments AU setup" to get the sounds to
load. You don't have to go through the setup again, just select it,
and it loads. It's just a different way of doing business, but
probably better for me in the overall picture.
