No, actually, it should link everything, with the option to unlink
everything individually. From what I understand this is how Sibelius
does it for the most part.
There are certain things which aren't separable, though. Sibelius
allows different sorts of Text items, and Title Text must remain the
same. Of course, titles can be placed using other types of text which
are separable between linked parts and score, but if a person uses Title
Text (as I understand things -- I haven't investigated Sibelius4 to its
fullest yet) any changes in the part will show up in the score, and vice
versa.
There are some other items like that but for the vast majority of items,
they can be separated or linked between parts and score.
