This is the same for me in FinMac2006b and 2005b. I don't remember it
working this way in 2003, which is the last time I used this particular
feature, but I may be wrong.
May I suggest lyrics (if you don't have other lyrics in the piece!) as
a possible workaround, as you can set the dashes to appear more often,
like a dotted line, though that would affect all lyrics in the piece.
Barring that, I think TWO smart lines, carefully placed, is your best
bet, just as we have had to do for "dim-in-u-en-do" since about
forever. Or perhaps "mor en do" as a Smart Line WITHOUT the dotted
lines, which could be added in as two different smart lines afterwards.
