I'm having trouble (finmac '05) getting general midi playback from any of the "channel 10 - patch 2" perc maps. I'm looking for a marching snare and bass drum to use in an orchestral piece. I'm not terribly particular about how they sound, but would like to upgrade from the trap set sounds I'm getting which are all I seem to be able to generate.
I'm using a staff style to try to implement this. I've checked in the manual and with a couple of "failsafe" posts from David Bailey and Peter Taylor that I have saved for reference and nothing seems to allow me to access the map(s) I want to use.
