I feel this way too and always work with engraver slurs off. I've seen so many people having trouble with it that I feel good with this decision. The engraver slurs need need tweaking anyway. And since articulations can be taken into consideration in the placement I still get some benefits too. But I know this will likely not be the consensus on the list. Just my opinion.

Absolutely not! Engraver slurs need just as much tweaking as regular slurs in order to look right, and IMO the old slurs are more easily adjusted. I instruct everyone who publishes with me to turn off engraver slurs before beginning their work.
