thanks. Yes, I have Guitar Pro 5. Originally I meant "manually"
converting, i. e. inputting the TAB manually into Finale. But now I
will give the direct import a try for sure. However, I don't expect
things like slides, hammer-ons and pull-offs, and the muted
x-noteheads to work, but I will tell everybody here if they do.

Do you have Guitar Pro 5? The new V5 can save a MusicXML file, which
you could then import into Finale.

Using simple entry, you can enter fret numbers directly on the TAB
staff. So you might find it better to enter on the TAB staff and then
copy/paste to the normal staff. I think it depends on how you prefer
to work.
